Meet Kodiak, Bailey & Hertzy

Kodiak is Driver's brother, Bailey & Hertzy
are his new friends. All are owned, loved
and very well trained by Chris, Katie & Kids

Kody is not the stereotypical Akita. He chases the kids, wrestles with the "girls", and makes a great bear skin rug for my bedroom floor.
Kody loves to play fetch, tug-of-war, and LOVES to swim.
He also loves to play chase and hide-and-seek with Chris.
He actually likes to cuddle with my cat, when she lets him.
He is truly "daddy's boy", he chooses Chris over ever one else in the house.

Bailey is our cuddler, she can't go more than 5 minutes with out having physical contact with some one.
She is also a freeze baby. She avoids the AC vents, tries to cuddle on the couch with the cat, and sneak onto the bed at night.
She loves to run with the kids, chase the birds and dig holes in the yard, trying to catch the moles.
She likes to play fetch, especially if it means stealing the toy from Kody, and chasing Chris through out the house.
That how the game of hide and chase started. She has learned that she can fit under the kitchen table to get "daddy".

Hertzy is the insane one of the group. She was a show dog for the first part of her life.
The night we brought her home, she tried to hide from Kody! We don't think she has ever seen a dog as big as him.
She bonded with Bailey right away. She warmed up to the kids and the house quickly.
Then the kids taught her how to go up and down the stairs.... FREEDOM!
Hertzy is still learning what it means to play, she and Bailey chase each other all the time.
She is still uncertain of how to play with Kody, but will tussle with him at times.
She is also a fan of swimming. So this will be a fun summer at the river!

All 3 are great on leash, Bailey will stay with us off leash,
but we wont try with the other 2 since they both like to chase anything that moves.
All 3 are great on walks out in public and all soak up the attention that they get from the people passing by.
Kody is the most well behaved Akita in town. Rarely does he have a moment of protest.
All 3 love car rides, especially going to the schools to get the kids! Or the long road trips to drop my son off with his dad.
Kody seems to be drawn to all kids. He has to check out every "small person" he sees.
We truly are blessed to have 3 great dogs and a wonderful Ambassador for the Akita breed!
